Randon Musings for a Random Day
They ("they" being the management, and to quote Phyllis Diller, it's just another four-letter-word) keep using our reading room as a lecture hall. It's quite disruptive.
I'm now reading The Silmarillion. I had to read a part of Thucydides' History for my class (for some say Sophocles' Oedipus is a portrayal of Pericles) and there wasn't much difference in switching back and forth. All these place names you never heard of, and so-and-so son of such-and-such. Just that the Tolkein had elves in it. I might screw up in class and start talking about Beren son of Beorn instead of Kreon son of Cadmus.
