Duty Post
Tomorrow is supposed to be my first class this semester. It is a Saturday class that meets every two weeks from 9 am to 3. Or that's what's on the schedule. I've had three of these Saturday classes and they all ended ealier than that in reality.
But I say "supposed" because with the weather forecasts, it may be cancelled.
Not that I really trust those weather bastards. We were supposed to get two inches of snow last night. We got a bare dusting. I wanted to sleep late. I was sore disappointed when I looked out my window this morning and the street was still black.

Ebay rant: Okay, so I've gotten into collecting albums of 78-rpm records of classical music to play on my 4-40. This albums aren't worth much, and usually I can get them for less than $30.
But there is someone out there with deep pockets who doesn't seem to mind paying exorbitant prices for these things. Recently, I bid on a late 1920's album of Beethoven's Kreutzer Sonata. I placed a $60 bid to make sure I won, because it was the end of the day, the auction ended that night, and I don't have a computer at home. I expected to spend somewhere around $30 - $40. To my dismay I was immediately outbid. I let it go because that's too much to pay for one of those old albums.
Recently I have been watching an auction for an album set of a Mozart quintet for winds. I checked in on it this morning, and sure enough, the same person who outbid me on the Kreutzer had bid on it.
Grrrr.

Weekend Redux
So Friday after work I left town. I honestly didn't expect my parents to come to town, but my dad wrote to me at 6:50 Saturday morning and said they were about to leave. So for the long weekend I got to feel guilty because I'd done what I wanted to do instead of staying here for a possible parent visit.
Hell, if I'd stayed here, they probably wouldn't have come.
