The Decembrists Show
It was quite good, although it was hot as hell in that club and they din't let you smoke in there anymore. The band had a bass fiddle and their keyboard player often switched to an accordian. And they sang a song about pirates. I like pirates.
And I had a day off the next day. It was odd to have a day off in the middle of the week. But I slept late and I loved it.
However, it was the first time since the air conditioner was installed that I was home in the heat of the day, so I ran the unit a lot. Late in the afternoon I realised that the condensation was running down inside the wall and seeping through the plaster under the windowsill. The plaster was doing that flakey, feathery thing.
*sigh*

All Sorts of Funny Thoughts Wind Round My Head
I'm going to see a rock show tonight with Ed. I haven't seen a band play live in over a year. That last time was Camper Van Beethovan. I used to see bands a lot. I'm feeling nostalgic for those days. I'm also looking forward to going to the Cat's Cradle to see this, and it has become an unfamiliar feeling, to look forward to seeing a band in the evening.

The Power of Water
I have gotten addicted to water. I crave it now. I started drinking a lot of water when I cut back on caffiene. I used to drink coffee all day, and I do mean all day. I started wondering if I'd sleep better if I cut it out. Now I have one cup of coffee first thing and then I switch to water. And I have been amazed how much better I feel when that water kicks in after the coffee. I had two cups of coffee today because I had a meeting. We had three things to discuss and it took an hour and a half.
I've even started keeping a glass of water handy when I drink beer.

Huh?
I stayed up too late last night. I can't believe I made it through the day.
