Yet Another Odd Fact
Near where I grew up (yes, this is another one of those posts) there is a community with the name Laboratory. It got that name because the Confederate government ran a facility there to produce opiate drugs. I guess this wasn't a great thing to write a post about because there's not a lot on-line about it.
