Movie Roster
It was a banner weekend for movies. We saw Madagascar, which was hilarious, especially those penguins. "Nobody saw anything."
Then there was Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Always a classic.
Saturday we saw Ripley's Game. This is a film of one of the sequels to The Talented Mr. Ripley. In this one the Ripley character is older and just as deadly. John Malkovich does it creepy.
Yesterday afternoon we watched Bright Young Things. We watched that - or I should say - we played it one night but it was too late to really be able to watch it. I'm glad we watched it in the afternoon this time. It's awesome! Can't praise it enough.

Cylinders . . .
That bathing suit on Ebay I mentioned a couple entries ago sold for $54. Hope whoever thinks it's worth it. Geez, it's not like the dude came with it. That might have been worth it.

Because of the paper I'm writing I recently remembered a dream I had when I was a teenager. The local county historical museum was within walking distance of the house I grew up in, and one time I dreamed that my sister and I walked there. But in the dream, the usual exhibits in the museum were gone. In their place were cabinet after cabinet with glass doors, and inside on the shelves there were row after row of cylinder phonograph records. I dreamed the museum had become a cylinder record library.
I was a weird kid.
