A Statement
I understood all these Duke spokes-people who keep saying about the lacrosse team that "These are good kids," when the whole team has had a history of alcohol violations and misdemeanors. Now it's come out that the blonde, squirrelly-lookin' guy who's been arrested in the current mess was also arrested last November in DC because he and two of his freinds attacked a guy on the street because they thought he was gay.
This is not a good kid. Even if he had nothing to do with the assault at the party.
It turns out that being arrested again so soon may screw up the deal he got in DC on that assault, and he may have to go back to court up there.

Back From Texas
I've been back in town since Saturday - I've just been swept up in the whole ordeal of getting back to work and school.
Getting back to work wasn't too bad - my boss did a good job of keeping things caught up for me. The hardest thing is getting adjusted to the schedule again.
Class is a bitch. The woman who teaches my class about computers in archives has once again changed the final project, this time one week before the damn thing is due.
The trip to Texas was pretty cool. I saw a lot of the country I'd never seen before, and I saw some places I never want to see again.
This was the coolest garden we saw.
