Revelation
My boss just called us all together (well, those of us who are here today) and gave us a Christmas pep talk and little presents (I got a teeny AM/FM radio with headphones). Then she told she was leaving for Georgia in the morning after she gets married.
There was a general exclamation of surprise.

Crazy Day
There are five full-time people in my department. One of these has been out since last Tuesday with the flu, and is not expected back in this week either.
This morning my boss told me another one left her message saying she had an emergency and wouldn't be in today. No definition of "emergency," and no word about the rest of the week, either.
At one o'clock my boss told me she was leaving to run an errand, and wouldn't be back today.
Well, I think I'll just take the rest of the day off as well myself.

Forcing Dreams Into Reality
Hopefully I'm doing better than Sam Lowery.
When I got a larger apartment in August I decided to get a Victrola. But it would appear that Victrolas are like LaSalles; there aren't any left to find.
Not long ago I discovered a phonograph listserv, and I joined, and posted a message asking if anyone in the east had one of the model I want for sale. As a result, I'm been communicating with a guy in DC who wants to sell one. However, the one he has is missing the reproducer.
I just bought one on ebay. And for half of what the DC Phonoguy said I would pay. Of course, maybe it's a big dud, and I wasted my money.

Help
Me
I'm a lonely little abandoned blog.
No one's posting to me.
I'm
sad.
