No Workout, Few Swims
Monday night I stayed up and watched a little over half of David Letterman. The next morning I had to go to my practicum at Special Collections and I ended up having to move a bunch of boxes in and out of the stacks. Between staying up and moving boxes, I was beat. I haven't worked out this week.
Then on Wednesday I had to go to a college and research libraries interlibrary loan meeting that lasted most of the day, so I couldn't swim on my lunch break. I went by the pool after work, but it was just a madhouse, and there were people in the lap-swim part of the pool that were just goofing off, so I turned around and left.
Like army captain Greg Plitt says, don't plan rest days, because they will happen on their own. That makes sense to me, but it's hard to really take a guy seriously who looks like he wears mascara. And he's suddenly started turning up in dozens of fitness magazines.
Here's an interview I found pretty interesting, not only because I'm sort of trying to get in shape and I'm on the downhill side of my thirties, but because of the discussion of non-swisher gay guys' attitudes towards swisher ones. And I found it interesting that the guy being interviewed said so-and-so isn't like that because he's from North Carolina. Like there aren't any swisher gay guys from this state.
Looks like Republicans are turning on each other.
I'm going camping again this weekend. I'll be back next week.
