The Hardest Bumper to Bump Into
Yesterday afternoon Rob went to Pittsboro to register for a program at Central Carolina Community College in sustainable agriculture (or organic farming) and he was in a wreck. He's all right, but his car may be totaled. He was rear-ended and his car was smashed against the back of an SUV that was in front of him. The SUV's bumper was right at the level of his headlights, and those and the grille are smashed, and the hood was bowed up. He said the back of his car didn't look bad but it was leaking gas.
The girl who hit him told the police she was going less than 30 miles an hour. I think they saw through this lie, because they gave her a ticket. Also her insurance paid for the rental car Rob ended up getting, so I think that indicates the girl is at fault as well.
After he finally got everything taken care of and had the rental car, he went back to the college and registered for class. I'm glad he went through with that. He needed something to occupy him.
