AAAUUUUUGGGHHH The Sequel
Friday in the mail I finally got the document from the DoE which the financial aid office needed to give me said aid.
I faxed it over Monday morning, and then called to make sure they'd received it.
They did, but . . .
. . . They said they still couldn't give me financial aid because of the money State thinks I owe them. The money I paid back four years ago, that I had no idea they thought I still owed until last fall when I realised they weren't releasing my transcript.
The debt that someone my dad spoke to last fall said they would waive. And didn't.

Interesting.
Here's a neat quote about John Kerry from the BBC:
'That he had an instinct for politics early on was shown when he came back from Vietnam and asked a congressional committee: "How do you ask a man to be the last man to die in Vietnam? How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?"

'That he had an instinct for shrewdness was also shown when he was with a group of veterans who threw their medals onto the steps of the Capitol.

'In fact, Kerry threw only his ribbons and kept his medals.'
