The Sword of Damocles
My instructor from that course has never written back. I have no idea what's going on. I guess I won't until I see my grades for this semester.
I used a photograph of an old jazz record from Ebay as an illustration in my paper. I was bidding on said record. The auction ended earlier today. I was outbid when there were eight seconds left. I don't think that record was worth the $29.98 it went for, even if Bix Biederbecke was in the band. And I don't think he was.
But I wonder if this is an omen.

Oh, Law
Last night my reference class met for the last time. We turned in our final project, a pathfinder.
I'd never heard of such a thing before. The instructor put some examples on reserve in the library, and I looked at those, and based my project on what I saw there.
As I was leaving class I asked another student how long their pathfinder was. She said ten pages. I said mine was only five. The other student said she'd just been trying to follow the guidelines we were given.
Guidelines? I asked.
Turns out the instructor posted detailed guidelines in Blackboard, but I never saw them because they were posted in the Course Information section and not the Announcement section. The guidelines stipulated, among other things, a length of at least nine pages.
I have e-mailed the instructor and explained this. I added that I knew it was too late to do anything about it but I hoped what I submitted was sufficient to pass the course.
Please God let me still pass this freakin' course.
Please.

I Survived
I made it through Thanksgiving. It wasn't so bad.
However, it turns out my brother's house is being repossessed. He didn't say a word about it to me. He called my sister Friday night and told her. I found out from an e-mail she sent me this morning. He did ask me if there was anything in his house I wanted, but he didn't tell me why he was asking.
